"Ladies: First-time travelers to Italy need this book!"
I'm getting ready to visit Italy for the first time this summer and I'm devouring travel guides, travel blogs, and Pinterest packing lists like it's my day job. Corinna writes this book as a trusted girlfriend who knows all the ins and outs of international travel. As the owner of a boutique travel business who curates trips to Italy for small groups of woman, she has her finger of the pulse of the country, as well as of the women who crave an off-the-beaten-path travel experience. Lots of guides cover similar topics, but she seemed to know what questions I had and which topics to dive into more deeply. Some of my favorite chapters: How to Beat Jetlag, How to Use the Train System (A Step-by-step Guide), How to Order Coffee in Italy, The Bathroom Equation. I devoured this book cover to cover, and now I'm going back to the beginning to read it a second time with a highlighter and Post-it tabs. This book is literally jam-packed with super helpful, practical tips that already has me feeling more confident (and excited) it'll be a wonderful adventure!
"Dreaming of Italy? BUY this book!"
This book could not have come at a better time! I have been dreaming of a trip to Italy for YEARS and now it's actually happening. As excited as I was to book this trip, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed on where to even start. Thanks to this gem of a book, I'm not overwhelmed any more. Being such an easy read and very helpful tips I have been able to book my flight, find AMAZING places to stay and feel more comfortable with my chosen itinerary. I'm taking the book with me! lol Corrine knows her stuff and I am so grateful for her and this book. Grazie Mille!!
"A travel book for lovers of all things Italian"
A totally brilliant book for anyone planning a trip to Italy. After my many holidays in Italy I only wish this book had been available earlier and know it will be a wonderful guide when planning my future trips.
The book is great fun as well being straightforward and practical.
"Perfect guidebook - don't leave home without it!"
While waiting for my flight to Rome, I found this on Amazon. It was free with my Kindle Unlimited membership, so I had nothing to lose. I found it so useful that once I came home I made sure to purchase a copy so the author gets credit for her hard work and insights. Plus I'm writing a review (my first ever). The book's style is similar to a blog so it's fun to read. Each recommendation was spot on (foods to eat, restaurants to try, underground Rome were particular favorites).
"good read even if you are not traveling"
I loved this book. It is the best travel book I have ever read and I read a lot of them. I am traveling to Rome in February, but I would have loved reading this book anyway. You will love reading this book for entertainment whether traveling or not.
"Goldmine of information"
Thick book packed with valuable information that only someone who knows Rome really well would be able to tell you.
If you want to see ‘more’ of Rome than the average tourist, get this book.
" Don't Go To Rome Without It"
This book is indeed fabulous. The author probably knows Rome better than most Romans do. I didn't realize there is so much besides the main attractions. We've planned our next trip, and it is to Rome thanks to this book. We won't get to do all 101 things, but we will get to do some great ones. You would think too, that the wonderful insights in this book were written just for you by a friend. Unlike other travel books this one has an easy personal style with a good measure of humor.
If you're even just thinking about going to Rome, this is the book to read. It's worth reading even if you're not thinking of going to Rome! (You 'll end up wanting to go).
"Essential!"
This guide is EXCELLENT! Detailed information on many, many interesting sites in Rome. If you're going to be there for more than 1-2 days, get this guide and use it to fill out your itinerary!
Well-written, organized logically ("Underground Rome," "Ancient Rome," "Unusual and Fascinating Things," etc.), and with "how-to" information as well. The writing is succinct, but has a lot of heart (some great stories of her own adventures).
These are my travel recommendations from books to gadgets to bags and everything in between!
